dumplings-over-flowers:

Chashitsu are Japanese architectural structures where chanoyu (tea ceremonies) take place. These rooms or free-standing buildings have the sole purpose of holding tea ceremonies. They were first put into use during the beginning of the Edo period.

An ideal chashitsu is a free-standing tea house with a garden along its perimenter, including a path to the entrance of the tea house. The room is to have no furniture and a low-hanging ceiling.
